About the event
This is the perfect introduction to learning Dry Stone Walling. The course covers all the basics including: How to take a wall down (there's more to it than you think!); How to construct a dry stone wall; how to correctly identify faults in walls (so you can learn not to do them!) and how to build with different stone types. After this week long course you will be able to build your own walls and have the confidence to tackle your own projects.
You will get the opportunity during the week to completely build two sections of wall; one in yorkshire sandstone and another in derbyshire limestone. This will give you an introduction into how to deal with both flat and irregular building materials.
